Luke Talcott
Owner & Founder

My name is Luke Talcott, and I am the owner and founder of Shine On Auto Detailing. My passion for auto detailing started when I was 15, and I was the lucky grandson that inherited my grandfather's 95' Ford Explorer. After waxing it for the first time, I was hooked. I started doing my parents cars for a little money. I would then use the money I earned to test out new chemicals and methods of cleaning. Once I was unable to get the Explorer or my parent's cars any cleaner, I started asking my neighbors, friend's parents and family. Shine On was born. I packed around a shop vac and 5 gallon bucket in the Explorer until it turned into a self contained enclosed trailer set up, which gave me the ability to bring all of the tools I needed to detail anywhere I went.
In 2013, I held myself to an entirely new standard. I told myself, "If this is what you want to do for the rest of your life, you need to be the best. No exceptions." I started spending up to 100% more time on each vehicle, and found methods and techniques that made me stand above my competition.
In 2014, I became very interested with the innovation and quality that pressurized dry steam brought to interior details. I purchased an Optima Steamer, which gave me the advantage over other auto detail shops in the area. This equipment gave me the ability to efficiently remove mold in vehicles, which is a huge ordeal in the Pacific Northwest.
In 2015, I purchased a BE skid-mount hot water/steam pressure washer that was capable of reaching 200 degrees. Having this equipment and the proper knowledge of chemicals and the pH scale has completely set me apart from anyone in the area. I have set the standard for engine details, wheel cleaning, undercarriage cleaning, and any type of heavy duty cleaning.
In 2016, I couldn't keep up with the demand of my services and realized I needed a change, and fast. In April, I found a 2500 sq ft shop with office space, that would allow me to let Shine On flourish. It was quite overwhelming to change my entire business from mobile to a fixed location, but I was eager for the change. A wise man once told me, "If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always gotten."
Once I set my mind to something or I am faced with a challenge, I learn to adapt quickly. I can't do Shine On alone, there is too much demand for the standards I have set, so I have sought out help through my amazing team. I have trained and worked aside every member of my team to ensure they are giving my customers the same great quality of work that I present, every single time.
I believe that organization, structure, employee motivation, and a good work atmosphere are the only things that let a business run smoothly. If one of those isn't working, the entire system fails. It has been hard not doing all the work myself, but with my team, I see Shine On moving forward quickly and smoothly. Within five years, my goal is to open a touch-less car wash. It will be the most innovative car wash in the area.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to working with you.
